RESIDENTIAL LONDON

A comprehensive transformation delivered in two distinct phases — a total internal refurbishment followed by a structural loft extension — this project reimagines a traditional London layout into a fluid, light-filled contemporary residence that maximises every square metre of its urban footprint.

MATERIALITY & CHARACTER

The design is defined by a bold interplay of raw and refined textures. Rather than erasing the building’s history, the intervention leans into it: the original London stock brickwork is exposed throughout, creating a tactile, amber-toned backdrop against which modern life unfolds with quiet confidence. This industrial character is tempered by the warmth of natural oak — on floors, joinery, and bathroom panelling — and anchored by cool stone surfaces, establishing a tonal palette that remains consistent from basement to ridge.

BESPOKE DESIGN

Every element was engineered to measure, resolving the tension between spatial efficiency and aesthetic ambition. The result is a home where each design decision is both functional and architectural in its own right.

– The Monochromatic Island — A minimalist, handleless island acts as the functional heart of the open plan — high-end performance concealed within a clean, sculptural silhouette.
– Open-tread Staircase — A signature black steel stair connects the levels, acting as a vertical light well — allowing natural illumination to permeate the lower living areas below.
– Atmospheric Lighting — Integrated cove lighting and recessed LED troughs sculpt the ceilings, adding depth and a sophisticated architectural glow throughout.
– The Spa Retreat — Oak timber panels wrap continuously from walls to ceilings, creating an immersive warmth that contrasts with large-format stone tiling below.
